Interview with Updo Expert Alissa
Alissa live in England and runs a very popular site, UpdoPrincess.com. Here's what she recommends for fine hair Updos.

Have you always been interested in hair?
Absolutely. When I was really little I had one of those life-size dolls whose hair and make-up you could change, I suppose my interest stems from that.
What are some tips you'd recommend for women with fine hair that want to wear their hair in an updo?
The first tip is to find a volumizing product that you like, one that will help give your hair a much needed lift when you are going out. After applying this and blow-drying your hair you can put your hair into any sort of updo you want, but be sure to secure it tightly with grips [American-English translation: barrettes], as fine hair tends to slip and move out of position easily.
Do women contact you about thinning hair, and what do you tell them or recommend to them?
As I'm not an expert on this area, [her expertise is updos] I recommend a few websites, including the Holly Houff site (love it!) and a website that offers helpful products. [Ed. Note: Hey! thanks! Love right back at 'cha! Ladies with fine hair might also consider adding temporary or longer-lasting extensions to their hair before they twist it up into an updo. In fact, this is one of the best hairstyles to camouflage "fake" hair because you can work in with your real hair.]
Are there any celebrities with thin hair that you think wear their hair well? In Any style, not just updos?
Uma Thurman springs straight into my mind, her hair is always chic and elegant. Naomi Watts has fine hair but always on occasions out has a large blow-dried ‘do’ so that her audience think she has thick hair. Cameron Diaz uses her fine hair to her advantage, its constantly smooth and silky texture is great as either a blonde or brunette. You can look to these ladies for inspiration, just Google their name and check out the stylish photos.
